Im 16 i throw 85mph but no control how do i get control ?

try to keep your head still, go slow, and not try to be rocket. greg maddux is one of the best pithers ever. slow down and work on off-speedIm 16 i throw 85mph but no control how do i get control ?
Muscle memory. Start throwing slow but work on the accuracy and consistency of the mechanics. Once you feel you've ';learned'; the motion.. throw as hard as you can until you lose the accuracy and consistency. Now.. slow it down from where you ';unlearned'; the motion and once again build muscle memory. Eventually.. not only will you ';learn'; to control the ball.. you'll be able to throw faster than before.Im 16 i throw 85mph but no control how do i get control ?
1.) Just like everybody else, I'm gonna say start slow

2.) Over exagerate your mechanics. Have someone tape you and notice little differences in your mechanics each time you throw. When you start to fix them you'll realize how to throw more accurately.

3.) Make sure to finish your throw, dont stop your arm you almost want to be able to pick up the dirt off the pitchers mound after you release the ball. You want to release the ball slightly in front of your ear and finish with your body motion coming down.
I agree with everyone saying to start slow with accuracy and then build up speed. The other thing you need to do is make sure your wind up and pitching is the same all the time. You want to keep a consistent movement while pitching or else it will end up messing with you and you will throw wild.
go to letstalkpitching.com and ask this question. If you want, ask specifically for Roger to answer this question. He is a lot of help. Chris O' Leary is real good too. Also, post some clips of you pitching on the website and they will be able to help you much more. There are many things that could be causing your problem and I don't want to take a guess at what could be wrong.

Edit: also for the people saying practice, slow down, flat ground work, etc. this is all good stuff don't get me wrong but how is it going to help him in the long run, he still has a flaw in his mechanics. All he is doing with extra practice is creating more muscle memory of his flaw and making it harder for him to break.
You need to practice your accuracy by starting out at a very short distance. Probably about 20ft at first and work your way out. You need to have a target with 9 boxes on it. Just like a tic tack toe board. This is the best method I had growing up. Jim Gilligan(head Lamar coach pitching guru)uses this method at his pitching camps. If not just hang an old tire worst case scenario. Remember start out short and work your way out. You definitely have the arm strength it wont take long before your throwing darts.

GOOD LUCK,

PRACTICE!!!PRACTICE!!!PRACTICE!!
start off throwing slower. Once you are able to gain control at a slower speed, gradually build up to a higher speed
throw FLAT GROUNDS! on days you dont throw bullpens or pitch. it creates musle memory fixing you control problem. im a college pitcher, thats what we do!
practice
slow it down

need control before speed
