No gun control till you control the criminals?

guarrantee that no criminals will ever have a gun and then come talk to us law biding citizens.No gun control till you control the criminals?
You are wrong.......

No gun control.%26lt;period%26gt;

I agree with the criminal control part, but once they have taken care of that there will be no need to come talk to me.

g-day!No gun control till you control the criminals?
Paranoid redneck.
I personally think a lot of gun owners are paranoid about crime, just waiting for their chance to shoot a teenager in the back as he runs off with an ipod he stole. Or they want to get a concealed carry permit so they can brag about it, some kind of macho thing.

However, I don't favor gun control. Some people really do need a gun for defense (bad neighborhood, stalker, 24 hour store owner, etc) and certainly guns are needed for varmint control and hunting. And some people just like to target shoot. I am a redneck, I prune my trees with a shotgun or .22 when the branches block the satellite dish. I think the crime in this country has more to do with grinding poverty and lack of opportunity than anything else. Other countries that have gun control and have lower crime rates ALSO provide better for their neediest citizens than the US does.
No gun control even AFTER you control the criminals. The right to keep and bare arms is not intended primarily to protect against criminals. One of the self-evident truths listed in the Declaration of Independence (second paragraph) is ';That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it, and to institute new Government'; THAT is the primary reason for the 2nd Amendment. Remember, our Founding Fathers had recently done just that.
If they can guarantee that no criminal could ever get thier hands on a gun, great! But even after that, I prefer to be able to keep and own them.
Nope, no gun control. But no worries, the will never manage to control the criminal element. They never have and they never will.

So I prefer to stay armed and always will. Call me a redneck if you like. But until you have been there and done that, don't be so quick to criticize those of us who prefer to take responsibility for our own safety and that of our families.
