Does the contribution of heredity to personality meant that people have no control over what they can do?

No, everyone has the ability to change and work with what they have and what they know and how they are.

Besides, the contribution of heredity to personality is not anywhere near 100%.

Dana (M.S. Counseling)Does the contribution of heredity to personality meant that people have no control over what they can do?
A person is shaped by two things:

- Their inherited genes from their parents.

- Their environment and experiences.

Of course you won't have the exact same experiences as your parents, ergo you won't have an identical personality. also you inherite 23 chromosomes from both parents, so you won't have the same personality.

Hope this helps.Does the contribution of heredity to personality meant that people have no control over what they can do?
No, not at all. People are shaped by their experiences and their attitudes at least as much as personality traits inherited, probably much more so. More importantly, each person is responsible for his or her actions. Ditching out to inherited traits is blaming and that just ain't cool.
