Hi there.

My suggestion would be the depo shot.

But if you are looking for a pill, Seasonique is your best bet, with 4 periods a year.

You have to have the periods. Your uterine lining builds up, and will shed. If you have the 4 periods a year, you will know when it will shed. If you skip the placebo pills, you will have breakthrough bleeding, randomly.

Seasonique placebo pills have a small amount of estrogen in them-which is why they are different that other pills that allow 4 periods a year. The estrogen in those placebo pills causes the period to not be as heavy or painful. You also don't get as many headaches or other side effects due to a fluctuation in hormones at the time of your period.

If you take any bc pill, and you skip the placebo orr sugar pill, you will still bleed.

I am on seasonique-the low dose formula. It works great for me and I like deciding when to have a period and only have them a few times a year.

Good luckWhat is the best no-period birth control pill?
Any pill should do the job fine, just don't take the placebo pills or miss out the seven day break. I am on Yasmin at the moment and usually take three packs back to back and have a seven day break before I take the next three packs, meaning I have around four or less periods a year.

Taking oral contraceptives essentially puts your ovaries to sleep - no eggs are released whilst you are taking them, meaning the 'period' you have on the pill isn't a real period. There is no medical reason to have the withdrawal bleed at all, but for some women it can make taking the pill feel more natural.

I would highly recommend asking your doctor to prescribe you with them. Good luck! :)
The thing about the pill is it makes your period less painful. So you may want to try having a period on the pill to see if it will help you. If it doesn't, you can just stop taking the placebo pills. But if it does, for your health, just have a period every few months. Any birth control should work. Just take the one that doesn't give you bad side effects. If you try one and get a bad side effect, talk to your doctor and change. I was on yasmin for four years and loved it. I would suggest you don't get the depo injection. It may stop periods for some, but it causes constant periods in others and weight gain in almost everyone. Also, if you have any bad side effects, you have to put up with them for three months before the medicine wears off.
I'm on the depo injection, haven't had my period in 6 years, for almost every women who goes on it it completely stops your period, its an injection every 3 months, its cheap, you don't have to remember to take anything daily, I love it.
Any birth control pill should work. Just don't take the placebo pills. You might still have a little bit of bleeding though.
