I need to lose 30 lbs before Christmas. I love sweets and would rather eat that than real food. I can't excersise because I broke my leg and arm last year. Anyone know of a way I can eat sweets and lose weight?I need to lose 30 lbs but I have no self control at all. Any suggestions?
I also didn't think I would have ANY self-control. I started December 05. Cutting out the bad sugars, replacing fattening foods with large drinks of water instead of grabbing the bags of potato chips and baked goods. I also read more into flax-oils,supplements, and foods baked with flax, even peanutbutter. I have lost, to this very day,72 pounds. I didn't starve myself either. Portion control worked for me. The first month was insane. I also cut out eating things with milk chocolate, and switched to dark bittersweet chocolates. Even in baking. There's always a struggle. But I drink alot more water. GOODLUCK!!!I need to lose 30 lbs but I have no self control at all. Any suggestions?
You cannot have sugar and expect to lose weight. This is what your body breaks fat dwn to, and the more sugar you intake the more fat your body will store. You need to not eat any sugar at all and need to do plenty of cardio to lose weight. I personally lost 50 lbs in a matter of 6 months by LEARNING self control. Thats what dieting and exercise are, its a matter of self control, without it everything you'll do will be for nothing.
cut off your leg
Fruit is sweet. I don't know how you can eat sweets and lose weight at the same time, seems kind of hard. Drinking water may help, since you want to keep eating the sweets. How about walking, if you can. This may help.
no, you have to use self control if you want to loose weight. You can eat sweets, but in moderation.
Good Luck. You can do it!
Stop drinking pop. It's amazing. And try taking Stacker pills, they make you more active, even walking around your house is execise, and they make you crave food less.
Get off the sugar like it were a drug. As long as you continue to put it in your body, the more you will crave it. Start eating fruits, soon they will be your sweet fix.
You have a sugar addiction, which is just the same, almost, as a drug addiction. And as with any addiction, you cannot ';wean'; yourself down. You just need to stop. It will be very difficult for a while, but eventually your body will stop craving it, and you will no longer crave them. I know, I went through the same. I used to be so bad that I ate sugar raw, with a spoon. Cut it off cold trukey, and I haven't had sugar in almost two years. Lost 40 pounds. Just from cutting out sugar. There is no way around not having self-control. You need to stop giving yourself excuses, and bite the bullet. Good luck, I know it's hard. I don't mean to sound dismissive or harsh, but just trying to tell it like it is.
sweets made with Splenda have fewer calories, but sweetie, if there was a way to lose weight while eating sweets and not exercising, 60% of the people in this country wouldn't be obese.
Face it, there's only one way to lose weight and that's diet and exercise. Just accept it.
I know what I'm talking about, I just lost 75 pounds and I can tell you without question that NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS BEING THIN FEELS. I can't believe I waited this long to be happy and healthy. You need to do the same. GOOD LUCK! :)
Im in the same predicament.
I like sweets as well. Good suggestion for you is fudge pops-they are low in calorie and quite fulfilling. I have lost almost 10 pounds just really cutting back my calorie intake and I havent even been exercising.
Try Lean Pockets as well for one meal and a couple of fudge pops throughout the day.
Most important, is not to eat right before you go to sleep because that is just a waste and the weight will come back if you lost any.
Good Luck!
I would recommend trying the Weight Watchers points system while keeping a food diary. It is amazing that once you start writing down everything you eat - you go ';Oh my- no wonder I am a hefer!'; Plus with the points system you can still eat the things you love in moderation along with making some sensible choices. I have dropped 1-3 pounds every week now following this. It's amazing how concious you become over what you put in your mouth. And then you tend to make better choices!!
Grow up. What a whinney-*ssed cry baby. ';I have no self control at all';. Sheesh. I expect that out of a 7 year old. How old are you.
Try South Beach diet. Helped me lose and keep off 40 pounds.
A good way is to find someone that is willing to take time with you and work beside you to help you work it out.
I like sweets too... but... since you can have as many calories as you want for breakfast, eat your sweets for breakfast! Seriously, then you will be satisfied all day, and then eat a small healthy lunch, and a healthy dinner, and maybe after dinner treat yourself to a piece of chocolate, or a small little dessert. Just keep your portions under control... but do the sweets in the morning, because eating in the morning will kick start your metabolism and you'll burn most of those calories throughout the day.
You should try to exercise anyway with your injuries... it was over a year ago that you broke them, aren't they healed by now? Just take it slow... like maybe you can swim, or use a rowing machine, or at least do an abs or yoga video.
Whatever you do, DO NOT eat two hours before you go to bed. Wake up hungry, and eat in the morning.
